I guess I was in Texas too long. It just didn’t feel right over here in Thailand at Legacy without some cows. So, guess what? We got us some cows! The plan is to raise cows for food and manure. We started with two cows and 2 calves. These are called “Wua Lampoon” or Lampoon Cows. Lampoon is a province just south of Chiang Mai. These cows are native to Southeast Asia and are red in color. Nice looking cows, don’t you think?

Greetings Friends and Fellow Laborers, Instead of our regular Legacy Letter, I am sending you our finished publication of the Legacy Leader for this year. Each year the Journalism classes put out our school publication called the Legacy Leader which has been written and laid out by Legacy teachers and students in Thailand. I think you will find what they have to say interesting and informative about the impact of the Legacy program on our students and volunteer teachers. Enjoy!
We ran into some paperwork problems and had to postpone the procedure for a few days. Bureaucracy is the same everywhere. Waiting is never fun, but I trust the Sovereign […]
Dear Friends and Fellow laborers, I just received the news that the Thailand Embassy in Rangoon1 will not issue our graduating student, Moe Palel, a new ED (Educational) Visa. This means he cannot yet return to Thailand. It appears he will miss his graduation ceremony we are holding on February 6th...
Since our last update on Legacy school we have started and also almost finished our last semester of the school year! Even though there is currently a land Sabbath everyone […]
Here is an update on me. It appears after I had another cardiologist review my hospital records, that I had a minor heart attack. It now appears that I may have some damage to my heart that is causing the continuation of irregular heart beat.
I know this scripture was directed specifically to the apostles and Jesus Christ wanted them to be the ones to preach His truth. But what does it mean to those who aren’t ministers? What does it mean to children and young adults? What does it mean to women who don’t have a speaking or ministerial role in the church? Does that mean that we can’t go and preach the gospel? How can we preach without preaching? I have been asking myself these questions for a while...
It is that obnoxious season of the year again. Santa Clause is depicted in every shopping mall. Everywhere you look, there are those fake evergreen trees with red and silver balls hanging on them and sometimes a plastic angel perched on top. And then there is that maddening music. If I hear Jingle Bells one more time, I am going to scream! …And by the way, I am talking about Thailand, not Los Angeles or Dallas. It is now all over Thailand, too.
The Feast of Tabernacles went very well over here in Chiang Mai, Thailand! The other teachers and I were quite busy during the Feast but we loved every minute of it. It was great for us young volunteers to see just a glimpse into what running a Feast site is like! The best part of the Feast for me was witnessing the students so happy as they experienced new things and places. My second favorite part was the music. These students love to sing and I hear them sing on a daily basis...
Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Friday, December 5th, was the 87th birth anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, King of Thailand. In Thailand, December 5th is also celebrated as national Father’s Day. King Bhumibol has the distinction of being the longest reigning monarch in the world today, having ascended the throne on June 9, 1946. Queen Elizabeth II of England is the second longest reigning monarch.
Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, The following is from the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights: 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. . .' The purpose of what is known as the Establishment Clause was to prevent government from establishing a state religion and to prevent the government from interfering with a citizen’s religious beliefs. Nowhere does it say that religion must be taken out of government. The purpose of the clause was not to take religion out of government, but to keep government out of religion.
30 October 2014 - Dear Friends and Fellow laborers, I wrote a letter several months ago about the blood moons that are to appear on Passover and the high day of the Feast of Tabernacles in both 2014 and 2015. According to Jewish belief, a tetrad like this portends that something very significant will happen to Israel, such as war. It happened during the founding of the State of Israel and the 1967 War...
