Prophecy Marches On

Prophecy marches on.  The USA has a dead Ambassador and the brave men who died protecting him.  Egypt is threatening Israel – again!  Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad once again threatens war in the Middle East from the UN podium, and armies are massing on Syria’s border.  Where will this all lead?

The Bible tells us.

Now world news tells us.

Turkey Moves Tanks to Hilltops Overlooking Syria

Turkey yesterday deployed tanks and missile-defense systems on hilltops overlooking Syria, the state-run Anatolia news agency said, hours after Turkish jet fighters were scrambled to confront a Syrian helicopter that came close to the border. Turkey has threatened to target Syrian forces if they pose a security risk, following the downing of a Turkish fighter jet by Syria in June.

U.S. Military Is Sent to Jordan to Help With Crisis in Syria

The United States military has secretly sent a task force of more than 150 planners and other specialists to Jordan to help the armed forces there handle a flood of Syrian refugees, prepare for the possibility that Syria will lose control of its chemical weapons and be positioned should the turmoil in Syria expand into a wider conflict. The officials said the idea of establishing a buffer zone between Syria and Jordan — which would be enforced by Jordanian forces on the Syrian side of the border and supported politically and perhaps logistically by the United States — had been discussed.

Is this why Jordan escapes when the King of the North (NATO) moves south like a whirlwind (Daniel 11:40-41)?

Time will tell us, and very, very soon.

Mae Sa Waterfall

On August 13th, Legacy Institute celebrated the Queen of Thailand’s Birthday. In recognition of this national holiday, classes were cancelled. A former teacher graciously funded a field trip for the students and so, we packed all of the students into our blue Sung Tao (pickup truck) and headed off to the Mae Sa Waterfall.
The whole park includes ten different falls and a market for lunchtime. The students enjoyed the natural beauty of the landscape. Here you can see Bancha, a third year student, taking pictures of the scenery.
Hser Nay Htoo, a first year English speaker, had fun climbing the falls. This was waterfall #10 at the very top of the falls. She was fearless!
All of the students had a great time climbing and swimming at the park – some even slid down the falls!
Jum Seng Pan and I visiting beside the falls.
The students crossed the waterfall and waved to us from the other side. This is Htoo Mye Shwe – he adds a lot of fun and laughter to the group!
No waterfall trip would be complete without a proper water fight. Here are Aj. Tristan and some of the students near the end of the day.

At the end of our trip, we filled up on grilled chicken and sticky rice from the market. All in all, it was a fun trip and a great break for the students who work so hard every day.

Islamic activity in Thailand

For those of you who might be concerned about radical Islamic activity in Thailand, please read below. As I suspected, the Thai police kept things well under control and nothing even near to what is taking place in the Magreb and Middle East has happened here.

What is even more astonishing is that the US government just sent the Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt 1.5 Billion U.S. Dollars in foreign aid!
What is it about America that we have the strange and illogical habit of financing our enemies?  Do we think that, somehow, our money will cause them to love us?
Actually, they will take America’s money and hate us all the more!  The tragedy is that they will use the money to buy weapons to kill even more Americans and America’s few remaining allies in the world.

“I called for my lovers, but they deceived me” Lam 1:19

The children of Jacob need the prayers of the Saints.  Perhaps it is not too late for God to hear their cries and pour out repentance upon Joseph.
May God remember the obedience of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph.
