Legacy Institute (we are known as Legacy Foundation in Thailand) held our 7th graduation commencement exercise on January 12 at the Empress Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We had five graduates; Seng Aung, June Seng Pan, Kart Ta Yin, Atsadakon and Bancha. Seng Aung and June Seng Pan are a married couple from Kachinland. Atsadakon is a Lahu from Thailand and Kart Ta Yin and Bancha are from the Karen tribe in Thailand.

I’m doing much better now, but do have to be more careful not to over tax myself. I get tired a little easier than before. My nurse also told me I’m more susceptible now to catching an infection or bug from others. So, I need to be careful about that too. Thank you all for your prayers on my behalf. Both Ann and I appreciate that very much. Please continue to pray for a return of strength so I can continue to serve the brethren and their needs here is southern Oregon and northern California. Herbert Vierra has been released from the hospital and is at home. He is still on antibiotics and will be for some time. He is grateful for all your prayers on his behalf and even sent me a brief email. We pray that the worst is over.

Herbert Vierra, board member and Executive Vice President of Legacy Institute in the U.S. and board member of Legacy Foundation in Thailand is in the hospital with a very bad case of pneumonia.

It is harvest time at Legacy school in Chiang Mai. The rice is ripe and ready. Professor Ong-Art, who runs an organic farm near our rice fields told us we need to harvest NOW because our rice is so heavy it will begin to break the stalks!
