Legacy Letter November 2015

9 November 2015 -Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, While those who understand the annual holy days (the commanded assemblies of God) were keeping the Feast of Tabernacles, which pictures the 1000-year millennial rule of Jesus Christ on earth from His capital in Jerusalem (Isaiah 11:1-9, Revelation 20:1-4, Isaiah 9:6, Daniel 2:44-45), the best—some would say “worst”—attempt at this world’s solution for peace among nations was very busy forming their own counterfeit of that kingdom. This counterfeit kingdom of what the Bible calls the “Beast” was rapidly being set in motion without much media coverage. Other than the Pope’s speech calling for peace, the media said little.

Legacy Letter August 2012

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers,
The conflict over Jerusalem that culminates with the return of King Jesus is now heating up in the Middle East. Both Israeli and U.S. intelligence operatives have evidence that Iran is very, very close to having a weapons grade nuclear warhead that can be used against Israel. The U.S. believes it can “negotiate” with the mullahs in Iran. They also claim that economic sanctions will bring Iran into line. Recent history shows both those ideas are patently naive. Iran knows the U.S. is too weak to act, and the U.N. is a do-nothing organization. Former U.N. Secretary-General and now UN-Arab League envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan recently washed his hands of trying to bring some kind of resolution to the civil war in Syria2. The U.N. has become nothing more than an international sounding board for enemy nations to air their grievances against the United States and Israel.

Legacy Letter May 2017

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong met King Bhumibol Adulyadej the first time in 1971. At that time, the king told him about a new project to educate the ethnic hill tribes that inhabited the highland border region of northern Thailand. These hill tribes grew opium and sold it to Chinese middle-men as their only cash crop. The king wanted to teach them to grow other crops, such as peaches and vegetables, to replace the opium they grew. This would be more profitable for the hill tribes and much less destructive to the upland forests and humanity as a whole. The king also wanted to give their children an education but had very few trained teachers.

Legacy Letter February 2017

21 February 2017, Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, “TRIP TO BURMA” Gloria and I have returned from Myanmar (Burma) and have great things to report. First of all, I would like to relay that the Church of God is continuing to better organize in Burma. Burma has been a backwater for the Church of God for many years; indeed, it has been an adjunct to Australia and continues to be for some COG organizations. Part of the problem has been a lack of trained leadership for the fledgling churches that have sprung up over the years in many parts of Burma.
