Legacy Letter August 2016

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, The following is from the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights: ‘Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. . .’ The purpose of what is known as the Establishment Clause was to prevent government from establishing a state religion and to prevent the government from interfering with a citizen’s religious beliefs. Nowhere does it say that religion must be taken out of government. The purpose of the clause was not to take religion out of government, but to keep government out of religion.

We recently returned from a whirlwind tour of the U.S. Gloria and I were in Arizona, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and California. I have yet to catch my breath. I am getting older and trips like these are getting tougher. Thankfully, I have Gloria to help me, and so many of you were very kind in trying to help make the trip more comfortable. THE WORK OF GOD—THE MOST IMPORTANT! – There is nothing more important than the Work of God—nothing! We all have been called to do the same Work Jesus began over 2000 years ago. I often wonder WHY I was called. Why not someone else with a lot more talent and ability?
