IN THIS LETTER: Harvest Time in Thailand ● God, Self-Reliance and Self-Sufficiency ● Report from Burma – Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, It is harvest time in Thailand. 16 June 2016, Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Baal worship is coming back to modern day Israel. In ancient Israel, Baal was a replacement for Yahweh, the true God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It wasn’t that Yahweh disappeared from the culture of Israel; it was that Baal was worshiped as provider and sustainer instead of Yahweh. Baal was considered more powerful and became the supreme deity of the Canaanites and ultimately, Israel. Some ancient texts show that Baal wanted to overcome the Creator El and become king of the gods. Sound familiar?
