Dear Brethren and Fellow Laborers,

Here is an exciting update with a NEW project!

Sein Paw Htoo who we call Dah meaning little sister in Karen’ language, owns land 3-4 minutes walking distance away from the church compound.

Currently Dah lives in Thailand and takes care of my mother Ruth Jebens.  We are so blessed to have Dah!  She has certificates in Nurses Aid and Pharmaceutical Aid including Nurses aid work experience before coming to Thailand.  She is also only six units away from graduating from SDA University but must wait due to the military craziness in Burma at this time.    Dah has had her land cleared by faithful workers for this special project. ***A PLAYGROUND!***   This will be for the church youth and students taught by our teachers Seng Pan and Sal Nay Paw and those children from the nearby community.

As of now they have a net for volleyball and TaKraw (an Asian game) and can play kickball on the field.  The kids are besides themselves to have this place to play!  The plan is to make a swing set and add a slide too.  The kids love to play and run no matter whether it is hot or cold.

My mother Ruth Jebens is helping to donate to this project and  in particular the swing set.  Pan Naung and his wife Sal Nay Paw will be overseers for this sports field.  The playground will be done slowly and step by step.  This will also help bring the community together.  Children are already excited and coming from nearby in the village of Jawk Taing.

May God bless and keep the children safe and healthy on this special playground!

Please pray for my precious mom who is 100 and 7 months.  She has slowed and weakened so very much in the last 3 weeks.  She says she is ready to sleep and is eating and drinking so little and barely walks anymore.  She is not afraid and waits on God for HIS WILL.  She has no pain and knows who is around her and keeps saying her thank yous and goodbyes each and every time.

We all keep praying for each other to keep in UNITY and to remove the devil everywhere he tries his evil tactics!

Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The water that Jesus promised the Samaritan woman “will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life (NIV) or in the NKJ, will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”. Then we will never be thirsty again!  (John 4:13-14)

John 7:37-39 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Who-ever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Jesus our Savior is now glorified!  And, if God called us, and we repentedto OBEY to walk a new way of life, and were baptized and had hands laid on us—we received that Holy Spirit to become in us a “fountain of water”; and “out of our heart will flow rivers of living water!  Just think of this great power God has given us that bears the fruits of God’s Holy Spirit!

In Christ to Everlasting Life,
Leon and Gloria
