22 July 2017 - Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, FOURTH OF JULY IN THAILAND - Thailand does not have an independence day, since the kingdom of Thailand never broke away from anyone. But my family and I are Americans living in Thailand, so we decided to have a small celebration of July Fourth. I broke out my father’s memorial flag that was given to my mother at my father’s funeral, which included a 21-gun salute by the local VFW. We also had fire crackers the grandkids set off and enjoyed special snacks...
10 June 2017 - Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, What a wonderful Pentecost we had in Taungoo, Myanmar! It was a very special holy day. What made it so special? Besides being a wonderful God-ordained high Sabbath day, it really felt as if the Holy Spirit was being poured out upon the 49 people gathered there. No, there were no little flames of fire appearing on our heads. And, no, we did not erupt into different languages other than the English sermon being translated into the Burmese language. But nevertheless, it was a very spiritual experience.

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong met King Bhumibol Adulyadej the first time in 1971. At that time, the king told him about a new project to educate the ethnic hill tribes that inhabited the highland border region of northern Thailand. These hill tribes grew opium and sold it to Chinese middle-men as their only cash crop. The king wanted to teach them to grow other crops, such as peaches and vegetables, to replace the opium they grew. This would be more profitable for the hill tribes and much less destructive to the upland forests and humanity as a whole. The king also wanted to give their children an education but had very few trained teachers.

It has been our usual practice to travel to Myanmar for the Spring Festivals; but this year, Gloria and I needed to stay in Thailand to take care of our local Chiang Mai brethren.

March 15, 2017 - Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Things are changing rapidly in Europe. We are watching the potential break-up of the European Union, presided over by Germany—seemingly powerless to stop it. It looks like Angela Merkel, once the strongest politician in Europe, may very well soon fall. The German people are sick and tired of being at the mercy of hundreds of thousands of so-called Arab “immigrants” invading German towns, groping women, raping, robbing, and burning. It was Merkel who opened the floodgates and invited them in!
