Legacy Letter November 2014

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong met King Bhumibol Adulyadej the first time in 1971. At that time, the king told him about a new project to educate the ethnic hill tribes that inhabited the highland border region of northern Thailand. These hill tribes grew opium and sold it to Chinese middle-men as their only cash crop. The king wanted to teach them to grow other crops, such as peaches and vegetables, to replace the opium they grew. This would be more profitable for the hill tribes and much less destructive to the upland forests and humanity as a whole. The king also wanted to give their children an education but had very few trained teachers.

Here Comes the King of the South, The Rise of the Islamic Caliphate – Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, The prophecy of Daniel 11 talks about an ongoing fight between a “King of the North” and a “King of the South.” At the time of the end, this rivalry will lead to the King of the North coming south with an army to make war against the King of the South. It is the Holy Land and the city of Jerusalem that is in the middle between both antagonists. It is important to keep in mind that it is Jerusalem that becomes the capital of the world-ruling Jesus the Messiah…

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, It is always rewarding to baptize a repentant young person who has sincerely given their life to the eternal care of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On Sabbath, the 12th of January, our small congregation of the Church of God in Chiang Mai, shared in the joy of God our Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and all His angels as a young couple from Myitkyina, Kachinland, in northern Myanmar (Burma) were baptized in our newly repaired pond.
