Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, For over 12 years, Legacy Institute has sponsored a Feast of Tabernacles site in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the heart of Southeast Asia. Festival goers from all parts of the world gather to worship, feast, and fellowship in one of the most exotic countries on earth. Thailand (once known as Siam) is a modern country with ultra-modern convention facilities, yet still retains its own unique ancient culture.
IN THIS LETTER: Passover and Unleavened Bread in Myanmar - Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Gloria and I arrived back in Thailand from Burma (Myanmar1) last Thursday. We observed Passover and Unleavened Bread with about 40 Church of God brethren from Kachinland, Central Burma, and Rangoon (Yangon). We also had one lady who came back from Thailand to keep the feast in Burma and visit family and friends. Ah Jar Shan, a graduate of Legacy Institute in Thailand, accompanied us as interpreter.
Buying Lovers - John Kerry, the new U.S. Secretary of State (Foreign Minister), is moving quickly to help the enemies of Israel and the US. He has just given Egypt a gift of 250 Million Dollars. This comes on the heels of the US sending Egypt F-16 fighter jets and Abrams tanks.
IN THIS LETTER: This Year’s American Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, I watched a YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch ?v=Qr2H9fniQTY) that I suggest everyone who reads this Legacy letter also watch. It was a video of the Inaugural Prayer Breakfast held on January 21, 2013, in Washington, D.C. The keynote speaker was Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, a Messianic teacher and, frankly, a preacher of truth and the messenger of a warning from God. This is the time when truth is needed more than ever. The survival of the United States is at stake and Rabbi Cahn boldly called the entire nation to repentance. I have heard nothing like it.
IN THIS LETTER: Baptism in Chiang Mai, Passover in Burma, Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, It is always rewarding to baptize a repentant young person who has sincerely given their life to the eternal care of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On Sabbath, the 12th of January, our small congregation of the Church of God in Chiang Mai, shared in the joy of God our Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and all His angels as a young couple from Myitkyina, Kachinland, in northern Myanmar (Burma) were baptized in our newly repaired pond.
This was an eventful week at Legacy. We have a Burmese family attending classes here (4 girls and 2 boys). I have one of the boys in my second year English class, but all of his siblings are first year students.
