Legacy Letter June – July 2019

JUNE-JULY 2019 – Dear Brethren and Fellow Laborers, As brethren, we talk much to each other and know perfectly well that many of us have had, are going through, or will go through trials. No trials are exactly the same from person to person, but we do grow in empathy for each part of the Body of Christ that is suffering.

Legacy Letter May 2017

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong met King Bhumibol Adulyadej the first time in 1971. At that time, the king told him about a new project to educate the ethnic hill tribes that inhabited the highland border region of northern Thailand. These hill tribes grew opium and sold it to Chinese middle-men as their only cash crop. The king wanted to teach them to grow other crops, such as peaches and vegetables, to replace the opium they grew. This would be more profitable for the hill tribes and much less destructive to the upland forests and humanity as a whole. The king also wanted to give their children an education but had very few trained teachers.

Legacy Letter April 2015

Dear Friends and Fellow, Laborers, Gloria and I are back from our annual Spring Holy Day trip to Myanmar (formerly called Burma). This trip we had Lacee Hilgen come along with us. Lacee is a volunteer teacher at Legacy Foundation
Leadership Training Center in Chiang Mai, and she was just finishing up her service. She decided that, instead of going straight home to California, she would go with us to visit the brethren in Myanmar. At present, almost all of our students are from Myanmar; sothis gave her the additional pleasure of meeting family members of some of her students…

Legacy Letter February 2024

23 July 2023 to February 2024
Dear Beloved Brethren and Fellow Laborers, We started to write to you in July of 2023 and nothing more each month after that. We had a few more false starts with some added info—but we needed a miracle in the department of “TIME.” No matter what, you, our faithful brethren, have continued with notes and letters of encouragement, continued in prayers, and in donations. God is great—and so are you fellow laborers! Thank you for your love and patience.
