Severe Cyclone Thane to hit Tamil Nadu coast soon

Cyclone Thane is expected to strike India‘s south eastern coast soon on early Friday morning. Currently, there are extremely windy conditions in cities like Puducherry with many trees, poles and thatched roofs uprooted. Wind speed was as high as 120 to 130 kms per hour since 2:30 am in Puducherry and have reportedly reached above 135 kms per hour.

  This area is the home of a number of Church of God congregations in both Tamil Nadu and Andra Pradesh states.  Many homes in this area use thatched roofs and homes generally are poorly constructed.  They need our prayers.
