16 June 2016, Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers, Baal worship is coming back to modern day Israel. In ancient Israel, Baal was a replacement for Yahweh, the true God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It wasn’t that Yahweh disappeared from the culture of Israel; it was that Baal was worshiped as provider and sustainer instead of Yahweh. Baal was considered more powerful and became the supreme deity of the Canaanites and ultimately, Israel. Some ancient texts show that Baal wanted to overcome the Creator El and become king of the gods. Sound familiar?

It seems to my family here in Thailand that we have been under constant attack by Satan. We have all had bouts with the flu—and not just any flu, but a particularly bad strain that seems to stay with you for a long time. One after the other (each of our grandchildren, our son, his wife, Utaiwan Han, Gloria, and me), we have fallen ill with fever, coughing, and sinus infections. I came down with pneumonia and was in the hospital for five days. I am back home now and trying to regain my strength, so I have no problems when we go to Myanmar (Burma) for the spring holy days...
