{"id":3075,"date":"2019-06-09T14:50:28","date_gmt":"2019-06-09T19:50:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/legacyinstitute.org\/wordpress\/?p=3075"},"modified":"2019-06-09T14:57:48","modified_gmt":"2019-06-09T19:57:48","slug":"3075","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/legacyinstitute.org\/wordpress\/2019\/06\/3075\/","title":{"rendered":"Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartFragment--><\/p>\n<p><!--StartFragment--><!--StartFragment--><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Dear Brethren and Fellow-Laborers,<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Leon had an appointment on Monday with his Neuro Doctor.\u00a0 At that time it was decided to give Leon a spinal puncture procedure to see whether or not it was even a good idea to have a brain shunt procedure to drain the water.\u00a0 Leon was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, the medical term for water on the brain.\u00a0 The spinal puncture drained 100 cc&#8217;s and went very well!\u00a0 It was quite amazing to see a difference almost immediately in Leon&#8217;s walking, balance, and talking.\u00a0 We are not sure about short-term memory&#8211;since this was due to the damage of the stroke.\u00a0 So Leon was admitted to the hospital the very same day.\u00a0 First they must do a switching of medicines since he is on blood thinner.\u00a0 The heart doctor conferred with the neurologist who will do the brain shunt surgery.\u00a0 Leon has to be prepped 5 days before and at least that long after.\u00a0 So the procedure for the brain shunt is scheduled on Mon. the 10th and if all goes according to plan with <b>God in all and over all<\/b>&#8211;Leon is to go home on the 16th.\u00a0 I have moved to Lanna Hospital in the same room with Leon.<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Please pray for Leon, and you are welcome to put out more prayer requests.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a bit of a whirlwind&#8230;\u00a0 God knows the timing and this was totally a surprise to happen so quickly.\u00a0 We specifically requested the procedure not to be done on the Sabbaths.<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">On Sabbath, and on Pentecost, I will meet together with the brethren here in Chiang Mai, and we will play an audio on Pentecost and I will have something written for the Sabbath day before.\u00a0 I will only be gone from Leon for just over 2 hours and Bronson, our son and his wife Jib can help me.<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Our prayers are continually with all of you too!<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">In Christian love,<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Gloria and Leon<\/div>\n<p><!--EndFragment--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Brethren and Fellow-Laborers, Leon had an appointment on Monday with his Neuro Doctor.
