This year Legacy is happy to once again be joining together with brethren from around the world here in Chiang Mai. United Church of God (UCG) will be hosting a joint Feast of Tabernacles (FOT) along with Legacy. The doors are open to all God’s people across borders!<\/em><\/p>\n

Chiang Mai, Thailand, is a truly special Feast site, beautifully blending the serene mountain landscapes of northern Thailand with the rich heritage of the ancient Lanna Kingdom. Nestled in a lush valley surrounded by misty peaks, this historic city\u2014often called the \u201cRose of the North\u201d\u2014provides a peaceful and inspiring setting for observing the Feast of Tabernacles. The gentle pace of life and the gracious spirit of the Thai people naturally encourage reflection on God\u2019s coming Kingdom of peace, restoration, and abundance.<\/em><\/p>\n

The surrounding region is a delight for those who appreciate God\u2019s creation. Nearby Doi Inthanon National Park, home to Thailand\u2019s highest mountain, offers cascading waterfalls, scenic overlooks, cool forest trails and opportunities for light hiking amid dense greenery and diverse birdlife. Closer to the city, Doi Suthep-Pui National Park features lush jungles, refreshing waterfalls, natural pools and peaceful paths perfect for families. Other local treasures include soothing hot springs and the unique limestone \u201cSticky Waterfall\u201d (Bua Tong), where visitors can walk directly up the mineral-coated cascades.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ethical elephant sanctuaries in the area emphasize conservation and compassionate care, allowing guests to observe these magnificent animals in natural surroundings as they forage, bathe in rivers and roam freely\u2014beautiful reminders of the harmony and restoration pictured in the coming Kingdom.<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to outdoor activities, Chiang Mai Zoo and Chiang Mai Night Safari offer enjoyable wildlife experiences. Those who love gardens will appreciate the renowned Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden in the Mae Rim district, which stretches across rolling hills and showcases thousands of plant species in beautiful greenhouses, tropical displays, canopy walks and preserved forest areas\u2014an inspiring place to reflect on the richness and variety of God\u2019s creation.<\/em><\/p>\n

The city itself adds vibrant color to the Feast experience. The famous Night Bazaar and Sunday Walking Street markets are filled with handmade crafts, traditional textiles, fresh tropical fruits and delicious northern Thai cuisine, including flavorful khao soi (curry noodle soup), mango with sticky rice and a wide array of affordable local dishes.<\/em><\/p>\n

Festival services and activities will be held at a comfortable, centrally located four-star property offering spacious meeting facilities, pleasant gardens, an outdoor pool and convenient access to many of the city\u2019s attractions.<\/em><\/p>\n

All services will be held at the Empress Hotel. Opening night will be Friday, September 25th at 7:30pm. The 8th Day will be Saturday, October 3rd.<\/p>\n

The deadline for booking accomodations at The Empress Hotel with special rate is August 15, 2026.<\/p>\n
